Happy !!

On the occasion of Earth Day, we would like to highlight the recent initiative by the Dzumsa of and , North Sikkim on the ban of packaged water in plastic bottles in the village of Lachen and Lachung. The Ban applies from Toong check post which is the first check post to enter North Sikkim.The reason for taking this initiative is to curb the generation of suffocating which pollutes the pristine virgin wilderness of North Sikkim. The Hotels have been instructed to provide safe drinking water facilities such as water filters and purifiers and there is a provision for hiring water bottles from the hotels at a minimal cost. A heavy penalty and fine will be charged to anyone not adhering to the rule.

Let's not let another pass without proactively doing something to protect our Mother Earth because in the end 'the earth is what we all have in common'.
