A PET-CT scan helps doctors see how far the disease has spread, but the real goal is to detect it long before this stage.
Who is at higher risk
Women above 40, those with a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, women who have never breastfed, early periods or late menopause, obesity, and long-term hormonal therapy.
In North-East India, particularly in Assam National cancer registry reports show higher breast cancer incidence and many women still arrive at advanced stages.
Regular screening can change this story.

VERY GOOD RESPONSE TO IODINE -131 THERAPY, no residual thyroid tissue after 6 months.
Here’s an example: an I-131 scan of a thyroid cancer patient showed residual thyroid tissue after surgery. Following radioiodine ablation (therapy), the residual tissue completely disappeared, showing an excellent response to therapy,( on whole body iodine scan)
