Today, I had the opportunity to be part of something truly special — the launch of the CANWIN Cancer Survivors Support Program at Apollo Excelcare Hospital, Guwahati.

This initiative is more than just a support group — it’s a movement of hope, strength, and shared healing.

We witnessed powerful and heartfelt stories from our cancer survivors, who stood tall in the presence of their families, fellow patients, clinicians, support staff, administrators, and media friends. Their words moved us, inspired us, and reminded us why we do what we do.

CANWIN aims to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone impacted by cancer — to listen, to share, and to walk the journey together.

With this, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering not just high-quality cancer care, but compassionate, community-driven healing for the people of the Northeast and beyond.

Lung cancer is one of the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Most cases are unfortunately detected in late stages. Screening program to detect lung cancer in high risk individuals using Low dose CT scan launched in Apollo Excelcare Hospital, Guwahati as a part of Pan India Apollo cancer centres initiative.

The increasing number of breast cancer cases in our country in the last 2 decades is not just confined to the urban population, but also women in the rural community, who often present with advanced stage.
