One of the very common questions I come across in yoga classes is that can we do yoga during our periods, what kind of asana we should practice or what to avoid.
Yoga practice during menstruation is a controversial issue. There are many who say that woman should not practise yoga during her menstruation, others say practice everything. Some say practise inversions, others say to avoid. Some say a strong practice is useful, others say to practice restorative asanas. But it is also important to be aware that excessive exercise can cause a person to miss their period. Having a regular menstrual cycle is usually a sign of good health. Starting to miss periods could signal a person is overdoing it when it comes to exercise.

Here is everything you need to know ladies.. Share and spread the awareness 💫🙏

Usually, for women this is a time of heightened awareness and sensitivity. We cry, we become depressed, we curse ourself why we were born as women, some associate guilt, uncleanliness or other nega…

The term Hatha Yoga has been commonly used to describe the practice of asana (postures). The syllable 'ha' denotes the pranic (vital) force governing the physical body and 'tha' denotes the chitta (mental) force thus making Hatha Yoga a catalyst to an awakening of the two energies that govern our lives. More correctly the techniques described in Hatha Yoga harmonise and purify the body systems and focus the mind in preparation for more advanced chakra and kundalini practices.

The Hatha Yoga system includes asana along with the six shatkarmas (physical and mental detox techniques), mudras and bandhas (psycho-physiological energy release techniques) and Pranayama (pranic awakening practices). Fine tuning of the human personality at increasingly subtle levels leads to higher states of awareness and meditation.

The fallen angel pose in sanskrit is devaduuta panna asana

Fallen angel pose is a challenging arm balance and inversion, where the temple rests lightly on the ground. It is entered from side crow pose, by lowering the side of the face to the ground, then lifting the legs so that both feet point toward the sky.

The fallen angel yoga pose is a powerful posture because it requires flexibility in the torso to twist the body, and strength in the arms and core to support the body weight and lift the hips and legs. Fallen angel also demands openness in the hips. This fallen angel pose is a beneficial pose for cultivating strength, balance and awareness.

Stretch beyond the ego,
Breath through the uncomfortable

Make ugly faces, cry, allow sound to express suppressed emotion and do it all again.

The expansion, the light heart, the joy, peace, happiness has nothing to do with how I look... Value the feelings.
