As mental health professionals, it's essential that we prioritise our own well-being first-only then can we truly and effectively support others.
Let's move beyond gatekeeping, competition, and jealousy, and instead foster a community rooted in empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect. When we uplift each other, we create space for collective growth and healing-not just for ourselves, but for the communities we serve.
On this World Mental Health Day, let's commit to:
• Checking in with ourselves and each other regularly
• Encouraging open conversations without judgment
• Sharing resources, knowledge, and opportunities
• Celebrating each other's wins—big or small
• Building a professional culture where support is the norm, not the exception
