Now for a lot of patients , especially young , severely comorbid and diabetic patients with heart attacks , now blockages or heart attacks can be treated safely with drug balloons without usage of stents also with use of live camera images of blood vessels ( IVUS ) ..
A bit expensive but with a Lot of advantages ..

If someone has an ongoing MAJOR HEART ATTACK , the best option in india and worldwide is IMMEDIATE ANGIOPLASTY only ..

All other treatment options (medical therapy , thrombolysis) are inferior to a primary angioplasty .. BYPASS Surgery is NOT an option for ongoing STEMI ( Major heart attack scenario ) ..

Atleast 21% more people die if the angioplasty is not done within 24 hours vs medicines only treatment ..

The more delay is done , more are the chances of complications arising and worse outcomes even with angioplasty/ bypass / or medicines and more permanent damages of heart attack ..

Do u know that leaving a large hole in heart untreated in infancy results in the child becoming inoperable?
The hole (vsd) causes the arteries of the lung to harden up .. permanently.... so it becomes unsafe to close the hole.

To date, when I or other cardiologists conduct camps , we see 1-2 older children in such a situation ( the developed world doesn't see any of these now ).
It is painful to see them. 💔
Coz had they been operated on time, their lives would be normal..

Finance is not the barrier these days;

wrong info is ( neighbours , quacks) ..

Same story is for all kinds of specialities and fields and for all other kind of diseases too ..
