ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಓರ್ವ ರೈತನ ಕತ್ತೆ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು. ಕತ್ತೆ ಗಂಟೆಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಅಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ರೈತ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರ ತೆಗೆಯಲೂ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಕೊನೆಗೆ, ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ಹೇಗೂ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿದೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರ ತೆಗೆದು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ ಬಾವಿಯೂ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಒಣಗಿದೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಬಾವಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮುಚ್ಚಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದನು.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರನ್ನು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಲಿಕೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.
ಏನಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರಿತ ಕತ್ತೆ, ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಅದರ ಧ್ವನಿ ನಿಂತು ಹೋಯಿತು.
ರೈತನು ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಬಾವಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಇಣುಕಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಕಂಡ ದೃಶ್ಯದಿಂದ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಚಕಿತನಾದನು. ಪ್ರತಿಸಲವೂ ಇವರು ಎಸೆದ ಮಣ್ಣು, ದೇಹದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಕತ್ತೆ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಕೊಡವಿ, ಆ ರಾಶಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತೆ ಬಾವಿಯ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿ ,ಹೊರ ಜಿಗಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿದರು.

ಜೀವನವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ ಮಣ್ಣು , ಕೊಳಕನ್ನು ಎಸೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ... ನಾವು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಡದೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡವಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿ ಮೇಲೇರಬೇಕು. ..

ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿರಲು 5 ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಡಿ:
1. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ದ್ವೇಷದಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಿ .
2. ಗೊಂದಲಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿ.
3. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಸರಳಗೊಳಿಸಿ.
4. ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನೀಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಿಮೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ.
5. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ. ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನೀವು ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗಿ, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗ ಬೇಡಿ.
