Today the newly joined District Commissioner of Golaghat along with the ADC (Health) visited Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital, Golaghat.

The District Commissioner visited the District Hospital including the MCH wing. During the visit interaction was held with patients and attendants to assess the quality of healthcare services, availability of medicines, cleanliness and behaviour of the staff. The overall functioning of the MCH building was reviewed.

Visit to TB Unit (District Hospital):

The district TB Unit of the District Hospital was inspected by the District Commissioner. He reviewed the functioning of the unit, patient records, diagnostic facilities and availability of medicines under the National TB Elimination programme.

Visit to Eye Hospital:

During the visit to the Eye Hospital under the District Hospital infrastructure, OPD services and patient load were reviewed.

Visit to GNM Training Centre & Hostel:

The District Commissioner took stock of the facilities at the GNM Training Centre and Hostel. Classrooms, training programme, infrastructure, hostel accommodation, sanitation and basic amenities were inspected. Necessary instructions were given for maintenance, safety, and improvement of facilities for nursing students.

Today's visit was accompanied by the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat and the Superintendent, SKKCH.
