*Dev Uthani Ekadashi*, also known as *Prabodhini Ekadashi*, is a highly significant Hindu festival that celebrates the awakening of Lord Vishnu after his four-month cosmic slumber (Yog Nidra). This day marks the end of the Chaturmas period and the beginning of all auspicious activities.

*Spiritual significance*
_Divine awakening_: The festival is based on the belief that Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, goes to sleep on Devshayani Ekadashi and awakens on Dev Uthani Ekadashi. This reawakening is seen as a renewal of divine energy in the world.

_Release from sins:_ Devotees believe that fasting and worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day with purity and devotion can grant them peace, prosperity, and freedom from sins.

_Path to Vaikuntha:_ It is believed that those who worship Vishnu on this day and practice devotion may attain a place in his celestial abode, Vaikuntha Dham.

_Spiritual growth_: For devotees, especially those in the Vaishnava tradition, this day offers a chance to reaffirm their devotion and renew their spiritual consciousness.
