Hello Residents,

Greetings from ProHeal !

Knee is one of the most important joint of your body and one of the most stressed joints in the body. It is considered to be vital joint as this is being used all the time for the movement whether you are walking, running, playing etc.
But surprisingly, knee injuries are very common. Common injuries are sprains and strains and meniscus injuries. We often don’t understand our body and ignore important warning signs. Initial mild pain around knee can be symptoms of muscle weakness or wear and tear of joints. Increase in weight put extra loads on knees and thus you may be prone for developing arthritis.
One of my observation is that people in enthusiasm start doing heavy strenuous exercises which includes running and cycling activities to reduce weight. Sometimes this overuse /overdo activities may lead to a condition known as β€œrunners’ knee” where you feel lot of pain around your knees.
Arthritis is on rise due to life style problems, poor diet and inadequate care of body and joints. Ageing is another important factor which leads to degeneration of the joints . Pain , swelling and inflammation of joints are common symptoms which may substantially impact your quality of life.
We at ProHeal analyse your knee and do thorough assessment to understand the reason of pain. If knee pain is due to sprain or any acute injury associated with pain and swelling of the joint, we suggest you for Rest, Ice massage Compression and Elevation of the affected joint. Rest minimizes further injury to the joint , ice application decreases the inflammation and pain , compression and elevation of the affected joint helps to reduce the swelling and edema.
If it is due to arthritic changes , physical agent modalities can help to minimize the pain. Graded exercise helps you to regain your muscle strength and make you independent in your daily life tasks. .
ProHeal is known for practicing unique approach in managing arthritis and knee healthcare which includes detailed assessment, customized therapy, gradual muscle strengthening program, life style modifications and diet modifications.
Good luck

Hello all.

Greetings from *ProHeal*

Do you know that excercise can help you not only sheding your weight but also helps in lowering high BP ??
Yes, it's true. Regular physical activity makes your heart stronger. A stronger heart can pump more blood with less effort. If your heart can work less to pump, the force on your arteries decreases, lowering your blood pressure.

*Becoming more active can lower your systolic blood pressure; the top number in a blood pressure reading by an average of 5 to 10 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). Which is as good as some blood pressure medications*😊.

If your blood pressure is at a desirable level i.e 120/80 mm Hg β€” exercise can help prevent it from rising as you age.

What should we do ?

We should do any physical activity that increases our heart and breathing rate. *This is considered aerobic activity*.

Daily office goers should use metro and try to climb stairs. Try to walk for few 100 metres to reach your office or home instead of taking rickshaw or auto. Help your wife and do some household chores such as cleaning your home , gardening , mopping or just walk for purchasing vegetables or groceries.πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Try to involve in some sports activities such as swimming , basketball or table tennis as physical activities pump more blood to your heart and therefore your heart becomes more powerful.

Also, if you sit for several hours a day in your office , try to reduce the amount of time you spend sitting. Research has found that too much sedentary time can contribute to many health conditions.

*And one important suggestion... Pls reduce your salt intake* ...

Salt makes your body retain water. If you eat too much salt, the extra water stored in your body raises your blood pressure.

We at ProHeal not only treat the underlying condition but also helps people to adopt healthy life style by guiding and giving proper counseling. Afterall , your health comes first in your life .

Good luck.

Dear Residents ,

*Approx 60 % residents of our society works in multinationals /corporate and in IT sector. Typically job profile involves sitting long hours on computer.*

Lack of stretching and exercises can lead to cervical and lower back pains. It's due to accumulation of lactic acid and absence of contractility in muscles.

What happens to your back

*Pain in neck and adjacent area*

*Feeling of heaviness and discomfort*

*Difficulty in moving head*

*Inability to move because of lower back pain*

*Numbness and altered sensation (tingling , shocking sensation, referred pain to other parts of the body)*

Despite of pain and discomfort we avoid going to Doctor as we have tendency to *tolerate pain until it becomes critical*. It's not a wise decision as your spine and back muscle starts showing physiological changes and it may lead to chronic and unmanageable situation.

We advise you for preventive measures. Treatment is v simple.

*Application of deep moist heat , interferential therapy and ultrasonic application can immediately reduce your pain and increase your work productivity*.

Therapeutic exercise has long lasting effect as it improves your muscle strength and helps to improve blood circulation to the affected area.

*ProHeal Clinic* has successfully cured residents with upper and lower back pain. Success ratio is 100% till date .

We advise you to do regular stretching and appropriate therapeutic exercises as it can help you to lead normal and productive life .

Good luck
