Dr. Mohana Rao Patibandla has finished his MBBS from Andhra Medical College and then his 5-year MCh Neurosurgery degree from the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. His journey of comprehensive neuro care was started from his early neurosurgery career as most of the doctors are worked as a proceduralist i.e if they know one surgery they will try to apply the same to every disease but not applied other available best modalities which resulted in worse outcomes and is not a disease-oriented approach. He wanted the 360 degrees approach towards the disease compared to seeing from one perspective. To achieve this one has knowledge in all the modalities or should work as a multidisciplinary team. To give better patient care he finished almost all the available fellowships which include the following both from India and the USA even though it took almost one and half-decade.

Pediatric Neurosurgery including epilepsy, craniofacial reconstruction, fetal surgery at the University of Colorado, Denver, CO, USA
Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery and Pediatric Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA
Neuro-oncology, Stereotactic surgery and Radiosurgery, The University of Virginia, VA, USA
Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery, The University of Virginia, VA, USA
He is the only one neurosurgeon who finished almost all sub-specialties with degrees in a formal fashion instead of Observing and practicing (Visiting fellowships). He can practice all the sub-specialties of Neurosurgery and Neurology in a patient-centered, comprehensive holistic approach with utmost diligence because of his extensive fellowship experience.
His knowledge and experience are complemented by his empathy, caring, healing words. His goal is to bring the world-class facilities to the Andhra Pradesh state and provide the care to poor and needy people.
His favorite words are “ I care, I heal, I serve needy beyond my measure”. He would like to pursue his dream by starting a world-class state of art neuro facility to serve his native Andhra Pradesh and all Telugu people
