The weather in India changes every 2-3 months. All these weathers have their importance, There are 12 months and 6 seasons in one year. All weathers have their importance and some special kind of diseases are observed every season. this seasonal routine is very important to keep ourselves healthy. For protection from these diseases and keeping ourselves healthy, Ayurved has a description of Ritucharya (Seasonal routine) to follow.
Every Acharya of Ayurved has described Ritucharya (Seasonal routine) in their respective texts. Although every Acharya has the somewhat same description of Ritucharya (Seasonal routines) but every Acharya has its contribution to Rirtucharya the third chapter of Ashtang Hridya is named as Ritucharya (Seasonal routine). Six Ritu (seasons) are known as Shada ritu. it contains Sishir (winter), Basant (spring) Grishma (summer), Varsha (monsoon), Sharad (autumn), and Hemant (pre-winter).

Increasing level of cholesterol is a leading problem in the modern world. In India, 25-30 % and 15-20% population is affected by increased levels of Cholesterol in Urban and rural area respectively. Cholesterol and lipid related disorders are considered as Dyslipidaemia. In Ayurved fat is known as Meda or Vasa. It is one of Sapta Dhatu (Seven elements).
