Post burn contracture Right hand 1st Web space - Burn has resulted in tissue loss and overcompensation by surrounding skin to cover the gap, thereby causing the contracture. This, in turn, restricts complete thumb movements, with inadequate space between the index finger and thumb.

1st Web space released with Jumping Man 5 flap Z plasty.

A 23-year-old female with road traffic accident resulting in [L] elbow fracture and loss of majority of skin cover over forearm exposing the fractured bone and elbow joint.
We did a Thoracoabdominal random pattern flap with split skin grafting.

TENNISON RANDALL CLEFT LIP REPAIR: 3 months old with congenital Gp IIIl cleft deformity resulting in failure of fusion of palate,upper jaw on the left and left side lip elements.

The swelling and bulge that are seen immediately post surgery at the operated site tend to settle down with time

Median Nerve Injury-Loss of sensations/ Reduced sensations over the palmer aspect of thumb, index, and middle finger may attribute to a partial or complete median nerve injury warranting exploration.
Following a glass cut injury, this patient had hypoaesthesia [reduced sensation], and we were expecting a partial transection, which on exploration turned out to be a complete division of the nerve, which was eventually repaired.
If left untreated, it will result in wastage of muscles supplied by the nerve and functional.impairmnet of hand along with increased risk of injury to the affected area as their is a loss of sensory perception.
