Breaking New Ground in Sports Inclusion

For the first time ever, Special Olympics Bharat is introducing Hockey for Special Children in India!

A two-day Hockey Training Session was held on 31st October and 1st November at Nehru Stadium, Gurugram, led by international coaches from the Asia Pacific region and national coaches.

We’re proud to share that two players from Khushboo, accompanied by a special educator, participated in this incredible initiative.

They found the experience inspiring, enriching, and empowering — a true step forward in creating an inclusive sporting ecosystem where every athlete gets a chance to shine.

We are delighted to share that a team of 7 spirited children from Khushboo participated in the Annual Dance & Drama Competition and secured the First Prize in the Senior Category Group Dance.

Competing against 13 other teams, our children showcased not just their talent but also their determination, teamwork, and joy of expression.

This inspiring event was organized by Very Special Arts India – The International Centre, providing a platform where abilities shine brighter than challenges.

A big round of applause to our children and supporters who made this possible. This victory is a reminder that with the right opportunity, every child can dance their way to success!

On the left, a young boy engages with a horse-riding therapy machine, building balance, core strength, and sensory integration—essential for children with conditions like cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental delays.

On the right, another child uses an overhead sanding unit, a vital tool that improves posture and strengthens shoulder and scapular muscles.

Together, we're not just providing therapy—we’re nurturing potential, dignity, and independence.
