Yoga is not religion but a vast science of spirituality.
Om (ॐ) is the original, most powerful Mantra sound which serves to invoke pure supreme vibrations.
Gam (गं) is the Ganesha bija (seed/root). Ga means Ganesha, and bindu (dot) is the dispeller of sorrow.
Ganapati represents strength and fortitude. He is the remover of obstacles in our spiritual journey and bestower of success.
Namah is to prostrate and completely surrender to the universal spirit.
A Ganapati Homam (fire ritual), burns away the impurities and removes obstacles in any undertaking. During our yoga teachers’ training courses, we pray on the first day, for good wishes and blessings on our spiritual path by creating a positive psychic environment.
May we all be bestowed with health, strength, enlightenment.
