Last but very important Medical reason for squeaky, wheezy sound, especially while feeding, crying, or lying on the back, may be due to Laryngomalacia / Tracheomalacia.
👉 It happens when the airway cartilage is soft and floppy, so it partially collapses during breathing.
👉 Very common in newborns
👉 Sounds scary, but most babies outgrow it by 12–18 months
🚨 When to see a doctor?
* Poor feeding or choking
* Bluish lips
* Severe chest retractions
* Poor weight gain
💬 Reassurance for parents:
Most cases need observation, not surgery, just regular follow-up with your pediatrician.
Noisy breathing ≠ lung disease always.
Sometimes it’s just a growing airway 💙
