PVR NEST was founded in 2006, as a social arm of PVR Ltd, that envisions sustainable, liveable cities with safe multi-utility spaces that empower women & children. In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 11, PVR NEST’s core philosophy is to develop and promote public-private partnerships that work on urban sustainability issues and to create safe, resilient, and sustainable cities for all sections of the society. The trust believes in educating, empowering and building a collaborative society by extending ongoing support to the vulnerable sections of the society via its various programs. The programs of PVR NEST are aimed to provide sustainable solutions to the most fundamental problems such as safety, health, education, and workforce participation, faced by the underprivileged.

The Rani Fund and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Curate a Special Screening of Haq, Bridging Law, Cinema, and Dialogue
On December 12th, The Rani Fund, in collaboration with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., hosted a special screening of the movie ‘Haq’ at PVR Director’s Cut, Vasant Kunj, in association with Times Now Network and Junglee Pictures. The event brought together over 70 senior members of Delhi’s legal community, including judges, senior advocates, and in-house counsels.

The screening highlighted the power of storytelling to spark dialogue on socially relevant issues, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and the human stories behind the law. Attendees were deeply engaged, sparking meaningful conversations that extended beyond the screening.

Meet Khushi, a 19-year-old from the Mayapuri community in New Delhi, whose journey is a reminder of what opportunity, skill, and self-belief can achieve.

Khushi learned about the Garima Grih center from school-going children in her community. Curious and hopeful, she enrolled immediately to learn tailoring. Today, she can confidently stitch suits, blouses, petticoats, and more. What began as a skill is now a source of pride—she stitches clothes for herself and her mother, and also takes on small tailoring work from neighbours.

The income she earns allows her to buy her own clothes—something that brings her immense joy and confidence.

Khushi now dreams of learning advanced stitching and designing so she can stand on her own feet and support her family financially.

Through our initiatives like KALA, we continue to support grassroots women and girls by equipping them with skills that lead to dignity, independence, and choice.

We are happy to share the wonderful experience at the Bhumi Campus Awards 2025 held on 6th December in Delhi.

A big thank you to Bhumi for inviting Ms. Deepa Menon , Sr. Vice President – CSR and Corporate Communications, PVR INOX Limited, to be part of this special celebration of student leaders and socially conscious campuses.

A long-term youth mentor, Deepa strongly believes in empowering young people nurturing their volunteering spirit and leadership- a value reflected across all PVR NEST programs.

Awards like these matter because they encourage and recognise the spirit of youth-led change.

We had the pleasure of hosting the senior leadership team from Monica Sarin Foundation at Garima Grih, Kirti Nagar.

During the visit, the team took a walkthrough of our inclusive sanitation facilities, skilling stations, Common Service Center, and sustainable products’ exhibition counter.

They also engaged in an interactive session with our students, skilling trainers, and CSC teams, encouraging them and sharing insights from the inspiring work being done at the Monica Sarin – Centre for Advanced Skill Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

We are grateful for their time, encouragement, and the opportunity to exchange ideas to further empower communities through skill-building and innovation.

From Screens to Safe Spaces

At PVR INOX Limited and PVR NEST, we believe cinema can be more than entertainment — it can be a place where every child feels seen, supported, and free.

To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Dec 3), we hosted a sensory-inclusive screening of Zootopia 2 (3D) at INOX, World Mark, Sector 65, Gurugram for 100 neurodiverse children.

In partnership with ACE for Excellence we adapted the cinema environment with softened sound, adjusted lighting, and the freedom to move — creating a space where each child could enjoy the film at their own comfort level.

We remain grateful to ACE for bringing these young audiences together and helping nurture shared, joyful experiences.

LIGHTS UP | VOLUME DOWN | TALKING IS WELCOME | UNRESTRICTED MOVEMENT

At PVR INOX Limited and PVR NEST, inclusivity is a responsibility we hold close. To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Dec 3), we hosted a sensory-friendly screening of Zootopia-2 (3D) at PVR INOX Mega Mall, Gurugram for 60 neurodiverse young people.

In our sustained partnership with Evoluer Solutions, the cinema became a gentle, welcoming space where everyone could enjoy the film freely. We are deeply grateful to Evoluer for bringing these young individuals together for meaningful shared experiences.

Today affirms that disability is only one part of who they are. Their talents, independence, and the way they embrace life shine far brighter.

Can the Big Screen Save Lives?
At PVR INOX, we believe it can.

Imagine this: You’re in a packed cinema, immersed in a powerful story on screen. The emotions, the visuals, the sounds—everything captures your full attention. Now, what if that moment was used to nudge you toward safer choices?

That’s exactly what we are doing.

At the 1st Annual Convention of the Indian Road Safety Alliance (IRSA), Ms. Deepa Menon, Founder of PVR NEST & Sr. VP at PVR INOX, shared how we’ve turned the power of cinema into a life-saving behavioral intervention.

CineArt Steer to Safety—India’s largest road safety program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and 15 coalition partners, has already educated 500,000 students, embedding road safety habits at a young age.

But the impact doesn’t stop there. Research shows that messages seen on the big screen are 8X more likely to be retained than those on other platforms. A well-crafted PSA before a film doesn’t just inform—it triggers a subconscious shift in behavior.

The proof? Our road safety campaigns, featuring prominent influencers, have reached 15.33 crore people in just one year. That’s not just awareness—it’s influence at scale.

With 150-200 million moviegoers annually, we’re not just screening films. We’re shaping mindsets, using behavioral nudges to create safer roads, one audience at a time.

Because at PVR INOX, we believe cinema is more than entertainment—it’s a movement.

This Holi, we came together with our community members and staff to celebrate the spirit of togetherness, joy, and positivity. The celebrations become even more special with the children in our Feeding Program joining us for a nutritious meal. They also recited poems and presented dance performances.

PVR NEST, in partnership with VFS Global, proudly launched India’s First Program that built cohorts of grassroots women, empowering them with skills, leadership, and financial independence.
Operating from PVR NEST’s 11 Safe Centers impacting 35+ communities, we created a cadre of 11 community changemakers from urban slums who are leading the way in social transformation while influencing cohorts of thousands of other women.
We touched the lives of almost 5,000 women through outreach and awareness programs on healthcare, sanitation, mental health, and design thinking and directly ushered 500 women into the workforce. They received skill-based training, and are either now employed or have their own Housekeeping, Beauty & Wellness, and Fashion Technology home businesses.
The day’s Chief Guest, Ms. Mitali Namchoom, IAS, Director- Department of Women and Child encouraged our women members to take charge of their future. Ms. Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer - South Asia, VFS Global and Ms. Ria Vaidya, Associate VP & Global Lead - Corporate Communications & CSR, VFS Global also inspired the women to become voices of change.
We premiered the Power of One impact film showcasing the program journey and impact.
This program not only empowers grassroots women but also creates a ripple effect, transforming families and entire communities.
This is just the beginning!

At our Safe Centers, we strive to inspire everyone, especially young minds to take pride in their country’s history and heritage and become responsible resources of the society.
The country’s 76th Republic Day was one such occasion where we encouraged our cohort leaders, their families, and the communities to come together and spell what this day means to them.
And they responded with patriotic fervor as children presented dance performances and poems.
The Cohort Leaders shared their inspiring stories and made the centers beautiful with Rangolis!
The highlight of the day was National Anthem singing and flag hoisting at each center, which was met with happy cheers and promises by everyone to make their country proud.

PVR NEST, under its yearly winter care plan, completed a blanket drive to provide warmth and comfort to those braving the cold on the streets.
We reached to over 250 homeless families, especially those with children and the elderly, including those living under flyovers near IIT Metro Station, Africa Avenue, RML Hospital, R.K.Puram, Jhandewalan Mandir, and Lady Hardinge Hospital.
We thank our partner Priyanka Nautiyal for helping bring smiles to these families.
