Steam Bath: For health,beauty and in diseases

Steam bath is one of the means to keep good health,beauty, and it also cures many diseases.Since ancient time in Indian ayurvedic system steam bath was present as awedan in panchkarna to clean and detoxify the body.In nature care scientific research had been done and it's pioneers Louis kouhne, Berrnarr Macffadden,and J H.Kellogg used it for improving health and curing many diseases.In Poland every household uses steam bath to maintain their health,beauty and vitality..Nowadays all nature care wellness centres Resorts,grand hotels,panch karna and health centres provides this facility..
Effects of steam bath on body
Steam bath is a powerful eliminative measure to detoxify unwanted foreign matters.Our body clean itself daily by excreting unwanted residues,toxins in form of stool,sweat,urine,and exhaling carbon dioxide.But nowadays our life style including our diet and living conditions are unnatural so body overburdened by unwanted toxins and could not able to excrete them fully so slowly these unwanted toxins accumulated in our body resulting in development of different diseases.
Steam bath here comes to our help detoxifying the body by perspiration
through skin.Our body skin having lacs of pores in one square inch,by steambath these pores are opened and body start action to excrete unwanted urea,uric acid,creatinine,excess water of the body.As pores of skin opened,body gets more oxygen resulting in increasing of metabolism,of body also blood circulatory system

Steam cabinets are available in market
From minimum of Rs 3000 to 50,ooo or more depending on material made up of like syntheic thick yarn or wooden water proof ply ,glass or fibre glass depending on whether for
home( self )or professional use.
For generating steam electric water pot or boiler, placed out side the cabinet a pipe connected inside the cabinet.In other way pressure cooker of medium or large size removing the whistle and fixing on it one end of pipe and other end placed inside the cabinet under in between the chair a big plastic or metal shower fitted
In sauna bath electrical heaters or lights are used for sweating the body..Nowadays in professional way one small room with boiler of higher power for generating steam used and 4-5 person can simultaneously take steam bath but precautions required for desired results like cooling of head etc.
Procedure......
Person or patient should sit naked or in under garment panty etc on stool or, chair resting foot on small stool or lying on back inside the cabinet,drinking one glass of cold water in summer and warm in winter season to avoid dehydration.It is necessary and advisable to wrap big towel around the neck so that vapours does not come outside, other small moist towel with cold water , be kept
on the head and pouring cold water at every 2-3 minutes on the head to avoid
the possibility of fainting uneasiness,headache etc to protect our central nervous system of head.Nowadays if healthy person wants to use steambath for self at home and alone he should have steam chamber where2 side pockets are given from where he can strech hand outside ,pick up water mug and pour cold water on his or her head provided water be kept near by place in mug
Duration..
In summer season :5-10 minutes
In rainy season:10-20 minutes
In winter season:20-30 minutes
Intensity of heat may be regulated by controlling the temperature of electric boiler if gas is used then reduce the flame of the gas.

Contraindications..(Avoid)..
During pregnancy ,old and very weak patient
High blood pressure,Low blood pressure,cardio vascular disease, Renal disease,Angina pectoris,Epilepsy,High fever,Anemia .
Precautions....
Before stem bath drink a glass of water then moist small towel be kept on head with cold water poured at every 2-3 minutes also ask if person or patient feel any discomfort,dizziness, or headache if yes then immediatly stop giving steam bath,and person be made easy and speedy exit from the cabinet pouring cold water on his or her head and given cold shower bath for 3-5 minutes
Twice a week steam bath is sufficient to stay fit For the patient suffering from chronic diseases a trained or experienced person being present during the treatment.The prolong is indicated in chronic rheumatism jaundice, syphylis,and in obesity
Steam bath is a best preventive,rejuvenating measure which add beauty to the skin also.

Vegetables for health
Vegetables are inseparable part of our diet, vegetables can be eaten with grains and pulses also.They are the chief source of good quality of nutrients like vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, protein, fibers and harmonies vegetables improves the digestion, stimulate the appetite, intensify the activity of slivary glands, pancreas, liver, and encourage the secretion of gastric glands. vegetables minerals are in organic form are easily assimilated and better than synthetic medicines.

Carbohydrates
Vegetables are good source of carbos like potato, sweet potato, yam, taro root etc. These vegetables better to be called roots and tumbers.carbos of these vegetables is more superior, easily digestible than grains and require less amount of insulin for metabolism.These can be eaten in place of wheat and rice as part of the diet Patients of hyperacidity, gout and rheumatism if they switch over from grains to these vegetables they can cure or get much relief from these diseases as these vegetables increase the alkalinity to neutralize the excess acid of the body. These root vegetables. Should consumed in place of cereals and grains.Over weight person should avoid cereals plus these vegetables ,will put on weight resulted in obesity.

Minerals in vegetables.

Minerals like calcium, Phosphorus, magnisium potassium, Iron, Iodine,and other trace like arsenic, copper, zinc etc. minerals found rich in vegetables.These minerals maintain the acid base balance of the body and help the complete absorption of the
Protein, fats, carbo's of the food. Many vegetables like beans spinach, raddish
turnips are diuretic and are very helpful to remove excess water and fat of the body and beneficial for heart and kidney.
Leafy green vegetables due to presence of iron, are good to maintain
Haemoglobin of the blood, good in animia. Calcium in vegetables is much needed for bones and teeth, potassium is key mineral to sustain life, sodium is required to proper maintain of osmotic pressure,fluid balance of the body but sodium chloride{common salt} is in inorganic form not absorbed which common person use excessively excreted by kidneys results their weak function, put blood pressure high resulted in congestive heart and it's failure.
Common salt also with water form hydrochloric acid develop skin diseases so it should not be consumed more than 2-3 Grams instead we should consume lots of fresh Vegetables in form of salad or boiled vegetables for mineral salts Iodine is chief store in thyroid gland. It's deficiency resulted in diseases like goitre, thyrotoxicosis, myxedema.
Iodine is present in lotus stem, onion,
Water chestnut etc. Magnisium deficiency produces tremors in the hands, may suffer from hallucinations.
These all minerals present leafy and non leafy and green vegetables with other trace minerals copper, arsenic, zinc, cobalt, silicon etc required in the body.

Vitamins
These are life giving substances originated from vegetables. These are abundantly found in highly soluble form in vegetables.Vitamins in form of thiamine present in the pale yellow stem of plants, leaves, and pulp of the non leafy vegetables.
Vitamin C largely found in the tips of tender leaves,in the form of ascorbic acid
Vitamin D stored in the leaves which are exposed to the sun, needed for healthy bones.
Vitamin P and folic acid are also in fresh vegetables like lettuce, parsley, spinach, tomatos, cabbage. Green colour present in vegetables is due to wonderful chemical chlorophyll which traps the light energy, it's green blood of the plant.
Dr.J.H.Kellogg by his extensive research discovered that chlorophyll is effective in healing of wounds, mouth, ulcers, pyrrhoea, bad breath and other diseases of mouth.

Fibre
Vegetables are good source of fibre,very useful to cure constipation. Few people complain about gas formation in stomach by consuming leafy vegetables, to get rid of it a small piece of ginger, carom seeds, cumin, fenugreekseeds, turmeric can be added (Avoid adding hot spices or chillies) due to higher content of fibres vegetables are good in constipation obesity, high blood pressure, Arteriosclerosis, and excess cholesterol. Some harmonies like estrogen present in vegetables which is good for in menstural problems and also for mother who feed their baby.

To take full benifit of vegetables we should take some precautions :
1.Buy the fresh preferably organic and tender vegetables as much as you can store for few days in refrigerator.
2.Vegetables which we can consume in raw form should be eaten as salad, like carrots, tomato's, cucumber, beet root, onion etc plate of these before meal is best to take full benifit of its minerals and vitamins.
3. Wash all vegetables in warm water or in potassium permangnate solution that removes all the harmful insecticides and germs from the surface of vegetables.
4. Never peel or cut vegetables in small pieces or put in water for long time this drains their useful vitamins and other nutrients from vegetables.
5. Boil water before put the vegetables and cook them with little quantity of water in cooker 10 -12 minutes sufficient. Over heating reduces vitamins specially vitamin C in vegetables.
6. Fried or over cooked vegetables are
not beneficial for health ,they loss heavily minerals and vitamins.
7. After boiling the vegetables 1-2 small tea spoon of pure ghee or small piece (
25 gems) of butter or small Awokado i or half of big Awokado can be added. Obese person should avoid ghee or fat to zero to reduce weight.
8. Do not remove thick outer skin of vegetables.

Fruits: Natural medicines. Fruits contributes a major role in protecting and promoting our health.Dr.J.H.Kellogg says "Ler thy food is your medicine.In past when I was studying Nature Care I came to know about the miracles of fruits then I decided and prepared myself and started to live on diet of fruits, nuts and with some raw cow's milk for a year. At the end it transform, rejuvenated my whole body shining, sparkling like a star.
In vedas it comes "Paya keelalam parishrutam" means fruits fully riped just fallen and milk are the natural food of mankind. In jungle animals from their start guided by their natural instinct first smell then taste and finally eat their food which suitable for their system in raw form. The young fawn or cow eats grass,the little squirrel looks for nuts, the young fox chases a mouse or some other animal. If we tried to feed cow with meat or lion with fruits then they will become sick because their different digestive system. So the man when followed the voice of nature, fire not invented chooses the beautiful products of plant world fruits and nuts. Man could not eat grass and probably did not catch the animal and bite into it. Nutrients in fruits.
Chemical analysis of fruits gives that these consists of water, carbohydrates(sugar), vitamins, minerals, fibre, miniscule protein and fat. In fruits water is from 5% to 95% which is very pure safely preserved in outer cover, this water is antibacterial, energy giving and detox our body.
Carbohydrates(sugars)
This is nain part of fruits present from 5% to 15% of the fruits,the sweetness of the fruits because of presence of sugar in form of monosachhrides which in form of glucose, dextrose, fructose, etc. This varies with type and ripeness of fruits.These sugars quickly digested and absorbed, these are different from white sugar which after chemical process (in making of Cane juice) nutrients eliminated totally left with only acid producing white Sugar. Many doctors called it as white poision.
Vitamins
These are life giving substances protecting ourselves from diseases fruits are source of abundant quantity of vitamins which are with other nutrients absorbed in body easily better than artificial synthetic vitamins. Minerals

People have misconception that citrus fruits like orange,lemon increases acidity in body but reverse is true there are 4 types of acids citric, malic, tartaric, tanic which are supplied by fruits, citric present in citrus fruits, malic in apples tanic in raw form, tartaric in tarmarind. In the process of digestion these acids transformed and in the end alkaline residue left Many of these increases appetite improves digestion act as antiseptic they liberate carbon diaoxide and water throgh lungs and kidneys. Hyper acidic and ulcer patients may avoid citrus fruits.
Fibre
some fruits contain good amount of fibre like guava, kiwi, papaya, pomegranate, grapes,act as expander in intestines and regular eating of them prevents and cures constipation.

As fruits are poor source of these, so are easily digested, good for sick people. All fruit diet have a miraculous effect in obese person to reduce the body weight.

Purchase fresh ripe fruits. Avoid half ripe or unriped pungent,unseasonal, unpleasant chemically processed fruits.
