* शोर-गुल वाले इलाके में रहना: लंबे समय तक तेज शोर में रहने से सुनने की क्षमता कम हो सकती है।

* उम्र से संबंधित श्रवण हानि: उम्र के साथ सुनने की क्षमता कम होना सामान्य है।
* सिर में चोट: सिर में चोट लगने से सुनने की क्षमता प्रभावित हो सकती है।
* उच्च रक्तचाप: उच्च रक्तचाप कान के अंदर की रक्त वाहिकाओं को नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है, जिससे सुनने की क्षमता कम हो सकती है।
* वायरल संक्रमण: कुछ वायरल संक्रमण सुनने की क्षमता को कम कर सकते हैं।
