Su***de being one of the top 20 leading causes of death globally, remains a universal challenge.
It is responsible for over 800,000 deaths which equates to 1 su***de every 40 seconds.

We can make a difference
Many things that we as a member of society, a parent, a friend, a colleague can do to prevent suicidal behaviour are:

1. Raise awareness about the issue
2. Educate oneself and others about causes and warning signs
3. Show compassion and care for those in distress
4. Question the stigma associated with su***de, suicidal behaviour, and mental health problems.

Let us all do our bit and show support by lighting a candle near a window.
