Shilajit

Guidelines on Health
In view of the rising incidence of various diseases, few guidelines for health are as follows :
Keep your blood cholesterol less than 160 mg/dl. Even a 1% reduction in cholesterol reduces the chances of heart attack by 2%.
Uncontrolled diabetes and blood pressure can precipitate a heart attack. Keep these under check.
Eat less, walk more.
Regular exercise is good for health. The best exercise is 'walking', which should be brisker than brisk walking.
Soya products are good for health. These should form an essential ingredient of the diet.
Fruits are better than juices. Brown rice better than polished rice and jaggery better than white sugar. Eat a highโ€“fiber diet.
Driving and drinking do not go together.
Get your health checkโ€“up done at least once in a year.
Salt intake should be restricted.

Even childbirth can trigger hair loss for some women. There are several types of hair loss, as follows:
Take care of your hair
o Don't subject your hair to frequent, constant heating and drying procedures. Heat weakens hair proteins, and constant heating and drying can lead to brittleness and fragility that causes hair loss that would not have occurred otherwise Minimize the usage of hair dryers, hot curlers, hot brushes, hair straighteners, hair fasteners, and chemical treatments and your hair will last longer
o Slow down on the dyeing. Never color your hair more often than 6 to 8 weeks and try for semi-coverage rather than full dyeing.
o Be careful how you style your hair. Some styles that require tight pulling and elastics, clips, etc. can be a cause of hair loss if done on a daily basis.
Wash hair regularly with mild shampoo and be gentle with your hair. Hair washing can form a part of preventing hair loss as it can keep your hair and scalp clean
o Avoid brushing wet hair. This snaps off a lot of hair that could still be growing! If you must comb wet hair, use a very wide-toothed comb
o Avoid rubbing hair vigorously with a towel after washing it. This can also lead to hair breakage. Pat it dry gently instead.
o When your hair is dried, use a soft-bristled brush to brush it

How to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes

There are two types of diabetes, Type 1 which means your body does not produce any insulin and type 2 which means your body does not produce enough insulin or does not use the insulin properly. The most common type is Type 2. This type can be caused by: stress, inadequate exercise and a poor diet. This type is covered in this How To. Unfortunately, Type 1 cannot be prevented. It is impossible to prevent it, as it occurs naturally in some people's bodies.________________________________________
Diabetes is when the pancreas, which creates insulin, stops working or your cells stop utilizing insulin created. Insulin is a hormone which lets sugar from your blood into the parts of your body which require it. When this vital hormone is missing or your cells cannot absorb insulin properly, sugar builds up in your blood, which causes you to get ill. Some people require an injection of insulin to control the sugar, while others need a tablet or just diet and exercise. Everyone with diabetes needs to have a healthy diet - and this is also what helps goes a long way to help prevent the occurrence of Type 2 diabetes.
Get at least 30 minutes of exercise nearly every day. For example walking around your neighborhood each day is a good idea. The key is to use large muscle groups. You could also try going to the gym a couple of times a week.
Eat a balanced diet. Eat a little from each food group, and not too much of the bad stuff - like sugar, salt and fat.3
Watch the amount of carbohydrates you eat. Your doctor or dietitian can give you a diet plan with the amount of carbohydrate, protein and fat you need each day. Follow their advice, and avoid fad diets which will only cause more trouble.
Drink plenty of water, because your body needs water. Water is better than any other drink. Water also fills you up so your desire to eat decreases.5
Maintain a healthy weight by eating healthful foods and avoiding junk food. Eating slowly helps prevent overeating by getting you satisfied with less food. Our sensor in the brain (In the hypothalamus) needs about 20 minutes to get the satiety signal; we can get full, even bloated and continue eating because we still feel hungry. Slow down.6

Eat Slowly to avoid overeating. It takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to send a signal to your brain that you are full. In that lag, you may eat too much, far more than you need.
