The event was conducted in association with KMCRI Hubballi, Rotary Club Hubballi, Lions Club Hubballi, KLE Technological University Hubballi, IMA Hubballi, and Youth for Seva Hubballi.

Students and faculty from ๐’๐š๐ง๐š ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐‡๐ฎ๐›๐›๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข actively participated in this meaningful program, where participants experienced walking blindfolded to better understand the difficulties faced by visually challenged individuals.

The event was followed by a valedictory function at KLE Tech Auditorium Hall, Vidyanagar, Hubli, with a keynote address by Govindappa B Gowdappagol (Retired Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Dept.).

โœจ Mrs. Manjula, Eye Bank Coordinator, MM Joshi Eye Institute, Hubballi, guided students on the eye donation registration process, transplantation procedures, and the functioning of an eye bank.

The Department of Pediatrics, Sana Institute of Health Sciences, Hubli, organized a comprehensive module on Essential Newborn Care (ENBC), Facility-Based Newborn Care (FNBC), Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (IMNCI), and Pediatric Life Support (PLS) on 25th July 2025 at Hotel Metropolis, Hubli.

The expert sessions were delivered by Mr. Akash and Mr. Rahul S. W. from Fame Academy, who enriched the participants with their knowledge and practical expertise. The program was designed to enhance the clinical understanding and practical skills of nursing students in pediatric and neonatal care.

The training covered essential aspects such as newborn resuscitation, interventions for newborn survival, facility-based management of neonatal conditions, and emergency pediatric life support measures. The students actively participated in interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and case-based learning sessions.

The module proved highly beneficial in strengthening the competencies of nursing students. It not only bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical practice but also prepared them to deliver safe and effective pediatric and neonatal care in healthcare settings.

1. Awareness Sessions: Students and faculty created awareness among mothers and community members about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, its role in child growth, immunity, and motherโ€™s health.
2. Interactive Discussions: Common myths and misconceptions regarding breastfeeding were addressed through group interactions.
3. Student Participation: 6th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students actively participated by delivering health talks, role plays, and demonstrations.
The program successfully sensitized the community on the significance of breastfeeding and promoted positive practices for child health and maternal well-being. The involvement of students enriched their practical learning and strengthened community.
