🌟Here are 5 informative tips to avoid muscle injuries while working out at the gym, straight from a Physiotherapist:

1️⃣ Warm-up properly before your workout. Spend 10-15 minutes doing light cardio and dynamic stretching to increase blood flow and prepare your muscles for the upcoming workout.

2️⃣ Focus on proper form and technique. Don't sacrifice good form for heavier weights or more reps. This can put unnecessary stress on your joints and increase your risk of injury.

3️⃣ Incorporate rest days into your routine. Your muscles need time to recover and rebuild after a workout, so make sure to give them at least one or two days off each week.

4️⃣ Gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts. Don't push yourself too hard too fast. This can lead to overuse injuries like tendonitis or stress fractures.

5️⃣ Listen to your body. If you feel pain or discomfort during a workout, stop and assess the situation. Don't ignore warning signs, as this can lead to more serious injuries.

❓Did you know that 🦶 foot problems are quite common among people in India?
😮In fact, about 20% of the Indian population suffers from some sort of foot and ankle problem.
As a physiotherapist, I see an increase in patients with foot and ankle conditions every day. That's why I thought I'd share some tips on how to take care of your feet and prevent these issues.

🦶First, let's talk about some common foot conditions that physiotherapy can treat. They include plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, heel spurs, ankle sprains, and flat feet, to name a few.

📝To prevent these conditions, it's important to wear proper footwear 👟 that provides support and cushioning.
Avoid high heels 👠❌and shoes that are too tight.
Stretching and strengthening exercises can also help keep your feet healthy and strong. Sometimes foot pain can get triggered with long hours of 🚕 car driving or a sudden trekking or sports ⛹️ activity without prior stretches!
In addition to footwear and exercise, maintaining a healthy weight ⚖️ is critical!

If you do experience any foot or ankle pain, don't ignore it! 🙌🏼Early treatment is crucial in preventing further damage. So, be sure to schedule an appointment with a physiotherapist if you notice any early signs of a problem, such as pain, swelling, or difficulty walking.
