Aparna Realty Projects Pvt Ltd is seeking to hire a senior level in-house Senior Landscape Manager for its housing and infrastructure projects. This is a full-time position on a regular payroll, offering a permanent employment arrangement.
Job Description:
Qualifications and experience:
• Master of Science in Horticulture (M.Sc. Horti) or equivalent degree with a minimum of 10 years of landscape experience or
• Bachelor of Science in Horticulture (B.Sc. Horti) or equivalent degree with a minimum of 12 years of landscape experience.
Location of the projects: In and around Hyderabad city, Telangana state.
Role overview:
Supervise project ex*****on, and manage teams, nurseries, and maintenance. Ensure design adherence, quality, and timely completion. Innovate and mentor, staying updated with industry trends, fostering communication, and achieving goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Ex*****on: Lead the successful implementation of plantation and landscaping projects within housing and infrastructure developments. Ensure that project ex*****on aligns with established design plans and specifications.
2. Regular Field Visits: Conduct frequent field visits to monitor project sites and ensure timely ex*****on of work according to quality and specification standards and organising benchmarking and mock-ups in selected zones on the site. Provide on-site guidance and address any issues that may arise during ex*****on.
3. Team Management: Supervise and direct the team of landscape personnel, including gardeners, horticulturists, nursery supervisors and maintenance staff. Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance to ensure efficient project ex*****on.
4. Nursery Management: Oversee the operation of nurseries, managing seed collection, plant procurement, propagation, and health. Ensure a steady supply of healthy plants for landscaping projects while maintaining the nursery's functionality.
5. Maintenance management: Develop and manage maintenance schedules for landscapes, including tasks such as pruning, manuring, fertilization, pest control, and irrigation. Monitor ongoing maintenance activities to uphold the quality and appearance of the landscapes.
6. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project ex*****on and maintenance activities. Monitor budgetary constraints while achieving project objectives.
7. Quality Control: Implement stringent quality control measures to uphold the desired standards of landscape appearance and health. Regularly inspect and assess landscapes, identifying areas for improvement or corrective action.
8. Collaboration and Reporting: Liaise with project stakeholders, architects, consultants, contractors, field level supervisors and other relevant parties to ensure seamless coordination during project ex*****on. Provide regular progress reports and updates on plantation and landscaping activities.
9. Innovation awareness: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in landscape development and maintenance to incorporate innovative and sustainable design solutions.
10. Active engagement: Participate in meetings, presentations, and workshops to effectively communicate challenges and solutions to the partner project teams, while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members in achieving the goals and targets set for the projects.
