A rotator cuff tear does not always need PRP or surgery. When frozen shoulder is present, treating the stiffness often improves both pain and movement.
Patients often panic when they see the words “rotator cuff tear” on an MRI. But after the age of 50, these tears are extremely common and often painless.
If you also have frozen shoulder, the tight painful capsule may be the main reason you cannot lift your arm.
Treat the frozen shoulder first before rushing into injections or surgery.
