Dosa: a savoury crepe: An indigenous most practised south indian dish made with the batter(1:2) of fermented rice and dal(1:legume,2:rice) with or without any additives such as fenugreek seeds.

2.studies shows that the growth of friendly bacteria(lactic acid)during idli/dosa(fermntation) process are of antimicrobial and antifungal properties which maitain the digestive health and also are also immune boosting.

3.The process called fermentation allows the changes in nutrient which includes an increase of vit B and C and decrease in phytate(component of legume, hard to digest)

4.Rice and dal combination recipe creates a 'complete protein' where it contains all 20 essential amino acid (a.a)that our body needs through the diet.
However,
legumes contains a.a- lysine which are lacking in rice whereas rice contains high amounts of methionine & cysteine which are lacking in legumes.

Therefore adding fermented food regular to diet is one way to nourish your gut....👍🏻😊

- Whole lentil -

Another important macronutrient unlike carbs, fat is “proteins” - are vital to any living being and thus carryout a wide range of functioning essentials for the sustainence of life and shud be supplied in adequate amounts through a diet
The sedentary person needs about 1gm/kg body weight of protein in a day
1 gm protein gives 4.2 kcal
All foods except refined sugars, oil and fat contain protein.
Protein rich foods are of 2 types
Animal based-meat,fish,milk and egg
Plant based-pulses,oil seeds and nuts
These foods contais over 20% of protein.
Protein of uncooked vegetarian foods(pulses)are less digestable due to the presence of trypsin inhibitors which are destroyed on cooked.

Animal protein source are known to be the best quality of protein due to the presence of essential amino acid(which are not synthesised by body) and are needed to be taken from diet pattern

A mixed diet(cereal, whole pulse veg)that are solely based on plant protein can meet protein requirement of adults and older children.
A judicious mixture of plant foods like cereals pusles can be relatively inexpensive and can provide a mixture of protein with nearly as good as aminoacid pattern as that of expensive animal protein.
