As this new year unfolds,

may you move with less force and more trust.

You don’t need to become someone new.

You only need to come home to yourself.

Let this be the year you:

-listen to your body
-honour your energy
-choose peace over pressure
-heal at your own pace

Growth doesn’t always look loud.

Sometimes it looks like rest.

Sometimes it looks like saying no.

Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself—again and again.

May your days be softer,

your mind clearer,

and your heart steady.

Here’s to a year of quiet strength, gentle healing, and conscious living.

“The Earth isn’t dying — it is being killed.
And those killing it have names, signatures, and approvals.”

Cutting forests and mining in the name of “development” is not progress — it is ecological violence.

We don’t want malls over mountains.

We don’t want concrete over jungles.

We don’t want ‘growth’ that steals clean air, water, and climate stability.

From Aravallis to Hyderabad, from Nashik to Hajipur, the story is the same —
politics change, parties change, but nature keeps losing.

If development means destroying forests, silencing ecosystems, and ignoring science,
then we reject this model of development.

The Aravallis stood for millions of years.

They shouldn’t fall to a few years of human greed.

Raise your voice.

Forests don’t get a say — we do.

When temperatures drop, Vata shoots up — and your joints feel it first.

Ayurvedic Foods that support joint strength:

-Ghee with a pinch of turmeric. Ghee heals dryness from inside.
-Garlic sautĂŠed in ghee
-Methi(Fenugreek) with ghee (tiny but mighty)
-Warm sesame laddoos (Vata’s best friend)
-Ginger tea with a dash of Coconut sugar
-Ragi malt for calcium & strength(Bone-strengthening)
-Ajwain + Jaggery (post-meal )
-Ginger + Raisins (soaked together)
-Nirgundi Leaves + Sesame Oil (food-grade tadka). Most people only use nirgundi externally.
This is rare use but one can add 1–2 small crushed leaves in sesame-oil tadka for soups.

Winter doesn’t have to hurt.

Nourish your tissues. Lubricate your joints.

Move with comfort again.

A warm Ayurvedic drink to support digestion, immunity, and winter sluggishness.

Cumin, coriander, fennel with a touch of ginger keep Agni steady — and Pippali(Long pepper) gives an extra boost when your system needs deeper warmth.

When to add Pippali (Long Pepper):

Use occasionally, not daily, especially when you feel:

✔️ Slow digestion
✔️ Heavy gut / Ama signs (coating on tongue, bloating)
✔️ Winter coldness in hands/feet
✔️ Congestion or Kapha heaviness
✔️ Low metabolic warmth

When NOT to use Pippali daily:

Avoid regular use if you have:

❌ High Pitta / acidity / burning
❌ Mouth ulcers
❌ Active inflammation
❌ Pregnancy
❌ Already strong digestion
❌ Taking very hot/warming herbs simultaneously

How to make:

Boil water → add 1 tsp each of cumin, coriander, fennel + 1 small piece ginger + tiny piece of Pippali → simmer 5 mins → sip warm.

Note:

Use Pippali 2–3 times a week, not daily.

Daily use can be heating for Pitta and may overstimulate Agni.

When to take it:

Sip mid-morning or after lunch when digestion feels slow, or when you feel cold/heavy, or when you need an immunity lift.

Avoid taking it late evening or at night because the warming spices may overstimulate Pitta.

Save this for winter mornings !

Ayurveda often gets a bad rap as being too strict, but it's really about guidance, balance, and ease.

Start small. Stay consistent.

Make it yours.

On Geeta Jayanti and Mokshada Ekadashi, I feel the Gita’s wisdom more deeply than ever.

I am reminded that grief isn’t something we “get over”—it becomes a quiet companion.

On this day, I lost my father in 2016, but the Gita reminds me that while the body departs, the soul remains… and love simply shifts its form.

Some days the ache is sharp, some days it settles like a whisper… but every day, I feel his presence guiding me.

As Krishna says: “The soul never dies.”

And so, a part of him still walks with me—just in a different way.

He has simply travelled ahead—lighter, freer, watching over me.

In my grief, I choose faith.

In my emptiness, I choose surrender.

And in his memory, I choose to live with love, courage and dharma.

Winter is the season of slow metabolism, tight joints, and low mood — but the right Dinacharya can shift your entire day.

Above mentioned practices gently awaken Agni, calm Vata, and reset your winter rhythm.

Give it a try and feel the difference!

Save & share with someone who needs a winter reset.
