We receive 50% nuclear DNA from mother and 50% from father.
But we receive 100% mitochondrial DNA from mother.
The mitochondria & mitochondrial DNA come exclusively from mother to child
Mitochondria produce ATP.
ATP is energy currency.
In short you received Power (energy DNA) from mother. Mother received from her mother And Father received it from his mother.
