Is meat safe for your HEART? 🤔 Swipe to find out the crucial difference that every heart patient needs to know!
As a cardiologist, I often tell my patients that the type and preparation of meat matter more than avoiding it altogether. Processed meats are the biggest enemy of your arteries due to high salt, saturated fats, and harmful additives.
But lean, whole cuts prepared correctly? They are packed with essential proteins and vitamins that support overall health.
✅ Choose: Lean cuts of chicken, fish (especially fatty fish like salmon/tuna/sardines for Omega-3s!), or lean goat/lamb cuts. ❌ Avoid: Sausage, bacon, cold cuts, hot dogs, and deep-fried dishes.
How to Cook Heart-Healthy: Grill, bake, roast, or pan-fry with minimal heart-healthy oil (like olive oil). Skip the heavy curries and deep frying!
