When the Healthy Stuff Hurts — is your fiber intake too fast?
We all know fiber is the hero of good gut health — keeping digestion smooth and your microbiome happy.
But when you go from 5g to 30g overnight, your gut bacteria get overwhelmed — leading to bloating, gas, and discomfort.
💡 The fix?
Increase fiber gradually (no more than 5g per week) and drink plenty of water, especially if you use psyllium husk or fiber supplements.
If your gut still struggles, it could signal SIBO or FODMAP intolerance — and it’s worth checking.
