We are proud to share that JSTL is amongst the few CROs in India with expertise in conducting glucose clamp studies.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: Eugylcemic - hyperinsulinemic clamp is the gold standard method for determining insulin sensitivity. As the name indicates, in this procedure plasma glucose concentration is maintained at baseline fasting levels during increased plasma insulin concentration.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲: Plasma insulin concentration is acutely increased by injection of insulin. Glucose concentration is then held at the baseline level by infusing glucose at the required rate.

𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲: At steady state, the glucose infusion rate is proportional to the glucose taken up by all the tissues in the body and is a measure of the body’s sensitivity to insulin.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗝𝗦𝗧𝗟: At JSTL we specialize in conducting euglycemic clamp studies for all types of insulin – 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱-𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮-𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
