We live in a country where u can easily have services of a qualified doctor at midnight in 200 rs but u cant hv services of a plumber or electrician at night for same amount.

We live in a country where a hospital is ransacked if one seriously ill patient dies unexpectedly but nothing happens when thousands die because of hunger,poverty and malnutrition every year.

We live in a country where patients are in extreme hurry while in a hospital but their patience is unmatched when they r
in a court of law where their cases linger for generations.

We live in a country where doctors are called lootera and cheaters when they ask even for a reasonable fee but currupt Beurocrats and politicians are treated as celebrities despite siphoning off millions of tax payers hard earned money.

We live in a country where people generously spend lacs in celebrating birth of a male child but feel cheated while paying 4-5thousand rs to the hospital that conducted safe delivery of the same child.

We live in a country where no hotel will offer u its airconditioned room in rs 1500 for one whole day but many hospitals will offer u a bed in its airconditioned icu with medicines,investigations,nursing care and a doctor whom u can thrash in case something goes wrong, in 1500 rs.(Thanks to schemes like BSBY).

We live in a country where a mob disappears in minutes when they are requested to donate blood for their loved ones but they appear in mili seconds when their beloved patient dies in the hospital to abuse/beat the staff.

We live in a country where patients pay doctors as if they live in Bangladesh but expect treatment as if they are living in USA.

SAD Facts....!!!

AFTER ALL I AM A NURSE.. THE REAL FACE OF NURSING PROFESSION IN INDIA...

People don't care how much we care about them, we have been through the MOST beautiful, precious, lovable, sadistic, painful situations of one's life..

We much care about others than ourselves, why people can't understand our problems, at least minimum needs we are asking. Either govt or management.

After all we feel proud to be a nurse, I can't see the real proudness in their eyes, deeply unsatisfied, miserable future, there is no value to our services,..

Yesterday, successfully coducted Union meet with nursing students. Elobratedly discussed, and deeply motivated. we have been observed that, they are also having pain and frustration but they dont have a better stage to express....

Deeply satisfied what we have done yesterday.... it's given us to encourage and motivate much more students and let them come out and raise their voices for their rights...

1. Very low stipends (1500 to 2000). The nursing students in govt teaching institutions are working under extreme pressures, harassments.. etc...

2. 24x7 .. one nurse is taking care of minimum not less than 50 patients.. without minimum facilities....

3. If you go and see the Hostel facilities which had been provided for nurses and NURSING STUDENT'S by the hospital
administration. You will get shock.. (Water problem, there is no good drinking water facility, worest food had been providing)

4. The administration dont care... why because they are simply nurses.. if you see other hostels and facilities of other departments. They r well developed.

5. 80 percentage of nursing students ate totally suffering with severe anemia. If any nursing student get sick. God knows what is going to happen to her. Because no separate or emergency funds for nurses had been provided.

6. Years onwards nursing principles asking for better facilities for nurses, in some areas there is no hostel facilities for MALE NURSES.. if they had.. they are living like a rat's (5 to 8 members in a single room like and orphanage)

7. WE DON'T KNOW EITHER INC (indian nursing council) or APNMC (andhrapradesh nurses and midwives council) EXISTED. they don't bother about the problems of student's or is there enough facilities are provided... they are miserable.
