A proud moment for the Institute as Dr Bharati Kulkarni, Director was part of the ICMR delegation at the ( ) in Berlin, Germany. She highlighted the landmark SAMPADA survey’s vital contributions and the impact of Dietary Guidelines in tackling obesity and NCDs reflecting the Institute’s national leadership in shaping public health solutions for India and beyond.
During a special side event as part of the World Health Assembly 2025 Indian Council of Medical Research showcased its pioneering work in advancing evidence-based strategies for NCD prevention and control. On ICMR Fohndation Day 2025, the Director Dr Bharati Kulkarni and Chief Guests presented the Tulpule Awards. In the senior category, the PG Tulpule Oration Award was conferred on Dr SubbaRao M Gavaravarapu, Scientist F & Head, Nutrition Information, Communication & Health Education Division. In the junior category, the Malati Tulpule Award was jointly presented to Dr. Ravindranadh Palika, Scientist C, Drug Safety division, and Dr. Teena Dasi, Scientist C, Maternal and Child Health Nutrition Division, in recognition of their valuable contributions to public health, nutrition and health sciences.
