In a very unfortunate turn of events, the news HEADLINES in "Huiyen Lanpao " today, dated 6th Sept 2024, came as an utter SHOCK and DISBELIEF to the staffs n management of MAIPAKPI HOSPITAL.

For the unversed, it may be pointed out that "Huiyen Lanpao" carried the NEWS HEADLINES with PHOTO about an ORDER by the MANIPUR STATE COMMISSION DISPUTE REDRESSAL FORUM that instructed MAIPAKPI Hospital and few of its doctors to PAY Compensation to a particular patient party.

WHAT needs to be highlighted is that MAIPAKPI HOSPITAL nor OUR LEGAL COUNSEL was even made aware of the COMPLETION of the CASE.

We attended the last court hearing on 13th February 2024 wherein the matter could not be RESOLVED and hence Further court hearings were to be taken up.

Upon subsequent regular Enquires by our legal counsel, the MANIPUR STATE COMMISSION DISPUTE REDRESSAL FORUM assured us that the next dates for COURT HEARING have NOT bin fixed yet.

This continued for 2 to 3 months.

N then, out of the blue, we saw the NEWS HEADLINES in HUIYEN LANPAO today.

A few pertinent questions that needs to be asked are:

1. How did the STATE COMMISSION gave an order without even informing us of the Court hearings??
2. Even if an order is reserved by the court, there is a period of 30 days within which the aggrieved party can present their case.
3. How did HUIYEN LANPAO get the order copy when MAIPAKPI HOSPITAL has not even received or heard of it??.
4. It points to a dangerous nexus between certain persons or institutions involved in this matter.

MAIPAKPI HOSPITAL will certainly apply for APPEAL and fight the case.

But if WHAT HAPPENED TODAY becomes the norm,
Every patient party with the slightest of Grievance WILL START TARGETING PRIVATE Hospitals at every possible instance.

It's a very DANGEROUS TREND.
