National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was observed on Tuesday at the Auditorium of AOI, BABINA Specialty Hospital, Sajiwa Jail Road. The event was held under the theme “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives.”
The programme aimed to honour voluntary blood donors and promote the noble act of blood donation as an expression of humanity and compassion.
The event was graced by Dr. Thangjam Dhabali Singh, CMD, BABINA Group of Companies, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Dr. Laishram Shyamkumar, MS, Babina Hospital; Kh. Shyamo Chandra Singh, GM, BABINA Diagnostics; and Ch. Kuleshwor Singh, GMO, BABINA Diagnostics. The function was presided over by Dr. Yumnam Bijoykumar Singh, MO i/c, BABINA Blood Centre.
The observance served as a meaningful reminder of the life-saving impact of voluntary blood donation and encouraged greater participation in future initiatives of this kind.
