Red Ribbon Club, in collaboration with various departments of Choithram College of Nursing, observed World AIDS Day on 01/12/2025 with great enthusiasm and awareness-driven activities.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œ๐Ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ˆ๐ƒ๐’ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ž,โ€ guided all our initiatives and discussions.

An inter-batch poster making competition was organized based on the World AIDS Day 2025 theme, allowing students to creatively express their understanding and commitment.

We also conducted an expert lecture on the same theme by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐š ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฌ๐ก๐ฉ๐š๐ง๐๐ž, ๐ˆ๐‚๐“๐‚ ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ž, whose valuable insights enhanced students' knowledge and perspective.

All participants took a pledge reaffirming their dedication to HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and stigma reduction. The event concluded with an engaging quiz, promoting active learning.

Choithram College of Nursing โ€“ Child Health Nursing Department in collaboration with CHRC

As part of World Newborn Care Week (15โ€“21 November), the Child Health Nursing Department organized a Workshop on Facility-Based Newborn Care (FBNC) for the M.Sc. Nursing and B.Sc. Nursing 3rd year students on 18th & 19th November 2025 at the Old Auditorium.

The workshop was based on the National FBNC Module and aimed to strengthen the clinical skills of budding nurses in providing safe, effective, and evidence-based care to newborns. Sessions included demonstrations, hands-on training, and interactive discussions led by faculty members of college and hospital.

The students actively participated and gained enhanced knowledge on essential newborn care, assessment, thermoregulation, feeding support, infection prevention, emergency care, and NICU practices.

This initiative reflected our continuous commitment to improving newborn health outcomes and preparing competent future nurses.

Choithram College of Nursing proudly organized ๐€๐€๐‘๐€๐Œ๐๐‡ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“, the Orientation and Induction Program for the new ๐.๐’๐œ. ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Œ.๐’๐œ. ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก (๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“โ€“๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”). The event marked a significant beginning as we welcomed our aspiring nursing professionals along with their parents.
