This 65yrs old lady visited me with a history of fracture neck of right femur due to fall. She had a history of cerebral stroke causing paralysis of right half of body of 11 yrs duration. She also had uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension. On xray it was revealed that she also had an undiagnosed tumour (osteochondroma) around the right hip since her childhood. She was started on insulin till her blood glucose levels came to normal. She was put in the OT, tumour and the broken femoral head was excised and replaced with a bipolar hip prosthesis. The postoperative period was uneventful and patient was sent back home. It was indeed a very challenging and satisfying task to do such type of surgery managing so many comorbidities (uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, hemiplegia) at a time.
