IOL Marking/Pitting:
▪️Nd: YAG laser posterior capsulotomy is a safer technique of restoration of vision, compared to surgical discission, in patients with posterior capsular opacification.
▪️All complications are strongly proportionate to energy level and number of pulses used.
▪️ Usually IOL Pitting is visually insignificant.
▪️The incidence decreases as the laser surgeon gains experience.
▪️It may be avoided by taking following steps:
i. Use of lower energy level.
ii. Use of single pulse mode.
iii. Accurate focusing.
iv. Use of contact lens.
