🏥 Exciting News from NIMS Hospital's Cardiology Department! 🌟

The first case of stenting with SPAS technique in India was done yesterday at Nims Hospital, Jaipur by Prof. Sundeep Mishra and his team of cardiologists.

The Stent Positioning Assistance System (SPAs) is a new technology that robotically fine-tunes the positioning of the stent, resulting in mm-by-mm precise stent positioning. By doing this, the time taken for the angioplasty procedure is reduced, X-ray exposure is reduced and contrast use is also reduced.

Prof. Sundeep Mishra and his team of doctors Dr. Amitesh Nagarwal, Dr. Narendra Kumar Bairwa and Dr. Asha Ram Panda did 5 cases in a day of SPAS technique stenting for the first time in India at NIMS Hospital, Jaipur.

Part-2nd of the "Cath Lab Mentorship Program" is happening at Evaa Hospital, Raja Park, Jaipur tomorrow (14-05-2023) from 11.00 AM onwards. Prof. Rajeev Bagarhatta (Principal, SMS Medical College) will be the chairman, and Prof (Dr.) Sundeep Mishra, Vice Chancellor- Nims University Rajasthan, Director-Nims Heart and Brain Centre, will be speaking about the "Science behind Art of Guide Catheter Selection."

We @ Nims University Hospital, starting a "Cath Lab Mentorship Program".

Friends this Sunday (16 April 2023) we will have our first discussion in Evaa Hospital from 10 AM onwards, lunch included.

The topic will be "Angiographic Views": *Which View to do when*, especially in the context of PCI".

We will offer cath lab certification to those who are interested and have more than 75% attendance.

Today we did first case of shockwave intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) in NIMS. This therapy is reserved for very calcific lesions where regular angioplasty cannot be done and only surgery is an option. Only few centers do this therapy. "CARDIOLOGY SHINING"........

आज हमने NIMS में शॉकवेव इंट्रावास्कुलर लिथोट्रिप्सी (IVL) का पहला केस किया। यह चिकित्सा बहुत कैल्सीफिक घावों के लिए आरक्षित है। जहां नियमित एंजियोप्लास्टी नहीं की जा सकती है और केवल शल्य चिकित्सा ही एक विकल्प है। कुछ ही सेंटर इस थेरेपी को करते हैं। "कार्डियोलॉजी शाइनिंग"
