Bariatric surgery in elderly- Patient after 60 years of age also benefit from Bariatric surgery. Comorbidities are controlled better or ameliorated. Mrs SD 62 year lady presented with Morbid obesity associated Diabetes, Hypertension, OSA and Severe osteoarthritis. She underwent Lap Roux en Y Gastric bypass in Nov 2016. She has lost 40 kg ( From 123 kg to 83kg today) overall. She is back to active life and is very happy.

Life after Roux en Y Gastric bypass. Mrs S. 40 year old mother of two was worried about her deteriorating health in view of Diabetes, Hypertension and Sleep disturbances. She weighed 120kgs and had tried all things to loose weight in vain. She underwent Lap Roux en Y Gastric bypass in March 2017 and lost 25 kgs in last 7 months. She feels active and happy. She is working and feels good about herself. She has stopped all medicines and sleep well at night.
