Films for a Violin is an intimate evening that brings together the sonic world composed by Tanish Khandwal during his summer residency at Maahspace, and experimental visuals created by artists from across the globe. What began as a personal music exploration gradually unfolded into a collaborative constellation of moving images, textures, and moods.
This event is a sharing of works that have emerged from a summer residency and the process that followed.
Each artist has created an experimental film/ visual work in response to his compositions, exploring how sound can translate into visual language.
The evening invites you to listen, watch, and feel—to sit with the works as they play, overlap, and speak to each other. During the evening, there will also be a live violin performance where Tanish will improvise in relation to the visuals.
