Most Indian women grow up internalising messages like “adjust,” “don’t be too ambitious,” “be a good girl.” Over time, these become the inner critic that fuels anxiety, guilt, and depression.
This isn’t “personal weakness.” It’s internalised misogyny — a cultural wound passed from one generation to the next.
