Mercury & Saturn 🪐
Similarities between them !
1. Both Mercury as well as Saturn have a troubled relationship with their respective fathers.
2. Both these planets have controversial stories regarding their births viz :
* Mercury is said to be born during the time when Moon had seduced and thus held Jupiter's wife Tara in captivity. Though, Jupiter accepted Mercury as his son, but Mercury bears an inimical outlook towards him.
* Saturn was born due to the relationship between Lord Sun and Chhaya (Shadow holographic impression of Sun's actual wife). The legend says, Sun's actual wife had secretly gone for penance and instead ordered Chhaya to act as a body double in her absence. The newborn Saturn, being the son of the shadow Chhaya, was black in colour. When the newborn's face was revealed to Lord Sun, he got enraged and immediately ordered the newborn to be banished from his kingdom and be sent into exile at a far distance from the Sun.
3. In Mercury is the lord of Communication, Speech, and Intelligence while Saturn being the lord presiding over the law of karma (cosmic justice) gives the talent for politics, manipulation, toxic control, and diplomacy.
* Mercury is the giver of sharp intellect and clever strategies. When strong in a chart, it can remove obstacles and enemies of the native.
* Saturn, on the other hand, has the power to create obstacles & enemies. If acting favourable, it can bring disaster for a native's enemies.
Mercury removes obstacles through adaptive intelligence while Saturn overcomes them through hardwork and ex*****on of a well thought out plan !
4. Mercury is the lord of the sixth house i.e the house of enemies, obstacles, litigations, and competition.
Saturn is the lord of the 10th house i.e the house of Career & workplace.
Notice the obvious characteristic similarities between these two houses !
5. Both Mercury and Saturn were destined to stay away from their father's kingdom and riches. Hence, both of them evolved very early in their lives to learn the raw truth and harsh realities of life. Thus, both of these planets will teach you about being pragmatic, realistic, clever, vigilant, expecting nothing from no one, and most importantly belief in "Self Efforts".
The difference is only in the way of teaching the same lessons.
