Chaired a session on “Promoting Swasth Bharat through Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Arogya Mandir” as part of the Civil Services Day celebrations today.

Providing affordable and quality healthcare to every citizen, especially the underprivileged, is a top priority of our government. The two pillars of Ayushman Bharat – AB PMJAY and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs – reflect a well-thought-of comprehensive public health approach as envisioned in the National Health Policy 2017.

On this special day, I congratulate our dynamic officers for their dedication and service to the nation and urge them to conduct impact assessment surveys to ascertain how these initiatives have benefitted people at the grassroots level.

We, the Community Health Officers of Jammu & Kashmir under the banner of the All India Association of Community Health Officers (AIACHO), strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack that took place in Pahalgam.

This act of violence against innocent people is deeply disturbing and goes against the values of peace and humanity that we stand for.

We express our deepest condolences and heartfelt solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones.
