According to Karnataka Health Statistics, below are some breathtaking facts :

According to an institutional study, more than 50 per cent South Indians are considered to be obese. India also has the world’s highest childhood obesity.

In Bengaluru obesity is reaching epidemic proportions,with around 25% of city children between the age group of four to 12, suffering from obesity. And obesity continues to rise.

Its been known that Obesity is the mother of all diseases! And the main cause of it is the Trans fat contents in our Oil even though the Nutrition table says very less or zero trans fat during cooking / deep frying the refined oil releases trans fat as per the research done at NCBI.

Now what can be done to address this as the numbers are increasing as years passed on. We thought of going to the roots to know what kept our ancestors healthy.

Most of us today know that Junk foods aren’t good and avoid it and prefer home cooked food. when cooking food at home we can wash our veggies, fruits, cereals and what not but have you ever thought of your edible oil ?
