For as far back as I can remember, visual arts have been captivating. They bring together the romance of colour and movement. I particularly fancied watercolours. To me it was a magical medium. How the playful water conversed with the breeze and colours followed suit. It was like a group of friends growing their clan, one addition at a time. And when those additions became plenty, a medley of colours danced on the canvas, flowing smoothly, from one hue to another. No artwork was a standalone. Each one was an amalgamation of either shades of the same colour, complimentary colours, contrasting colours, or at times, disjointed random colours.
Just like life, no one emotion could exist in solitary, always accompanied, by friend, foe, acquaintance, opposition, co-existing, or simply existing parallely. But reach experience was an emotional landscape, flowing from one feeling to another, perhaps shifting back in between too.
Perhaps this was what art taught me, the smooth transitions, the ups and downs, the uncertainty, all in one... Fluidity of Life.
