A Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) was successfully conducted on Sunday, 14th December, at IMA Hall, Kadapa, under the aegis of the Indian Arthroplasty Association (IAA), in association with OSSAP and KOSA.
The primary objective of the programme was to enhance the quality of patient care by aligning clinical practice with globally accepted guidelines, and to facilitate the sharing of evidence-based knowledge in the prevention and management of periprosthetic joint infections.
The programme was chaired by Dr. C. Vidyasagar Reddy, renowned Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon, who served as the Course Chairman. The CME was generously sponsored by the Vidyasagar Arthritis Foundation.

The faculty delivered comprehensive lectures and actively participated in interactive panel discussions, offering valuable insights into the contemporary, guideline-based management of Periprosthetic Joint Infections (PJI).
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 140 delegates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, reflecting strong academic interest and engagement.
The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by scientific sessions, panel discussions, and felicitation of the faculty with mementos. The CME concluded with a valedictory session, marking the event as academically enriching and highly informative.
