Wrapped Up an Enriching Day at Department of Psychology, Nilgiri College of Arts & Science

Today, I had the privilege of serving as the resource person for the Addon Session —
"Clinical Lens: A Skill-Building Workshop on Psychological Case History and MSE" — for the BSc Psychology 2023 Batch.

Over the course of the day, we explored:
🔹 Practical steps to structure a psychological case history
🔹 The art of building rapport with clients
🔹 Activities to bring concepts to life

The session was designed to bridge theory with clinical application — helping students understand not just what to ask, but how to ask, what to listen for, and how to observe. We discussed the subtle art of rapport building, structuring a psychological case history, and sharpening observation skills during a clinical practice.

What stood out for me was the curiosity, enthusiasm, and critical thinking the students brought to the room. Their thoughtful questions and active engagement turned the workshop into a truly interactive learning experience.

What truly made the session memorable was the energy, curiosity, and active participation of the students. Their thoughtful questions and willingness to engage turned it into more than just a workshop — it became a space of shared learning.

My sincere gratitude to:

🙏 Dr. Subair - HoD, Department of Psychology
🙏 Mr. Arshad Bin Moosa - Academic Coordinator, Nilgiri College
🙏 Ms. Jaseela Thasnim – Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology

Thank you for the warm welcome and for creating an environment that bridges academic theory with real-world practice.

Premarital Counseling Session – Empowering Stronger Relationships - Personality and Marital life

Today, I had the privilege of conducting a Premarital Counseling session for the public, organized by Muttil Grama Panchayat, Wayanad District.

Personality plays a crucial role in shaping a healthy and fulfilling marriage. Understanding oneself and one's partner fosters better communication, emotional connection, and conflict resolution.

In this session, we discussed how different personality traits influence marital dynamics and how couples can build a strong foundation based on mutual respect and understanding.

We explored key aspects of a healthy and fulfilling marriage, including communication, conflict resolution, emotional bonding, and mutual expectations. Preparing for marriage is just as important as the journey itself, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to guide couples toward a stronger foundation for their future together.

A heartfelt thanks to Muttil Grama Panchayat and ICDS Supervisors for this wonderful initiative in promoting healthy relationships and mental well-being.
