WHEY PROTEIN !
One of the hottest supplements in the market .
But still there are so many myths / incorrect informations surrounding it .
1. Whey protein is for everybody, whether you exercise / not , whether you go to the gym / not , whether you are a sedentary male sitting on your couch / a homemaker . Infact it is even for kids.
2. Our body doesnot differentiate between whole food and supplements PERIOD. All it cares about it NUTRITION. So if you use supplements it is pretty much okay!

Protein supplements give you that ease to complete your full day protein requirement in small quantities ( 1 scoop can have upto 25-30 grams of protein depending on the brands ) therefore making it easier to hit the protein goals and which otherwise would be difficult if you consume whole foods only.
4. Protein is the building block of the body . Not only that but there are numerous Metabolic activities / enzymes / hormones etc which are made up of protein, therefore making it one of the most essential Macro nutrients.
5. The added benifit of consuming good amount of protein ( according to your needs and bodyweight ) is - protein has the highest thermic effect therefore also aiding in weight management.
6. Avg intake of protein can be around 0.8 gm/ kg bodyweight to 2 gm/ kg body weight depending on your needs and bodyweight .
7. Specially in the case of elderly, protein supplements play a very important role in maintaining muscle mass , body functions and weight management.
