मां का दूध बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य के लिए बेहद फायदेमंद है। यह शिशुओं के पोषण के लिए बेहद जरूरी है। मां के दूध में कई तरह के पौषक तत्व होते हैं जो कि नवजात शिशुओं को कई तरह की गंभीर बीमारियों से बचाते हैं। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन और यूनिसेफ हर साल विश्व स्तनपान सप्ताह के दौरान स्तनपान के प्रति जागरुकता फैलाते हैं। इस मुहिम का समर्थन और प्रचार करते हैं।
